Correction Policy for Khabar Bandhan

Khabar Bandhan believes in maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and credibility in all our published content. This Correction Policy outlines the procedures we follow when any incorrect information appears on our website.
We understand our responsibility toward our readers and are committed to making timely and transparent corrections whenever necessary.

Premise

At Khabar Bandhan, we strive to present accurate, verified, and balanced news reports based on the best available information at the time of publication. If an error is brought to our attention, we promptly correct it and, when appropriate, publish a clarification or editor’s note explaining the change.
In cases where misinformation may have been spread, we also issue a formal apology to our readers through our website or social media channels.

Updating a Report

Whenever a story is updated, we include a correction, clarification, or editor’s note to notify readers of significant edits, added details, or statements from stakeholders. If any factual inaccuracy is found during our fact-checking process, the article is updated immediately. At the top of the article, we mention in bold
“[Correction: Updated Information]” — and explain what was corrected.

We also encourage our readers and community members to report errors by emailing us at khabar.bandhan@gmail.com.
Additionally, every article includes a “Suggest a Correction” option for easy feedback.

Corrections

When we make a substantive correction — such as fixing an error in an article, headline, caption, image, video, or graphic we promptly publish a correction note explaining the nature of the error and the change made.

Clarifications

If the facts in a story are accurate but the language used is unclear or misleading, we revise the content and add a clarification note.
Clarifications may also be added when additional comments, responses, or information come to light after publication.

Editor’s Notes

When an error significantly affects the credibility or core message of a story, an Editor’s Note is added with an explanation. Any editor’s note is reviewed and approved by a senior editor before being published.

Other Correction Practices

  • If an error is pointed out in the comments section, our editorial or community team confirms the correction and acknowledges it in the comments.

  • If false or inaccurate information is posted on social media platforms, we correct or retract it directly on that platform.

  • We do not attribute blame to individual team members (e.g., “reporting error” or “editing error”).

  • All corrections are made transparently and without delay once verified.

Reporting Inaccuracies

If you believe a story we have published contains inaccurate or misleading information, please reach out to our editorial team via the “Suggest a Correction” section at the end of each article or email us directly at khabar.bandhan@gmail.com.

Take-down Requests

As part of our editorial principles, Khabar Bandhan does not entertain take-down requests. However, if a subject believes a story is inaccurate, we will investigate thoroughly and, if required, issue a correction or update.

In situations where fairness demands a follow-up or additional context, we may update the story, but we do not remove the original article unless there is a legal or safety concern.

If a published article includes publicly available personal data and the individual involved faces a credible threat of physical harm, we will review and consider removal or redaction requests.

AI-Assisted Content Review

We may use AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Google Gemini, and others) to help identify and correct factual or grammatical inaccuracies quickly. If you find any incorrect information or image, please send the article link and correction details to khabar.bandhan@gmail.com. We will review and update the content promptly.
